Fiber-optic shrink tubes are successive components for enhanced protection or support positioning at the fiber optic continuity site. When we connect the fiber through a fiber-optic melting machine, we peel off the outer coating and protective layer of the fiber, which makes the fusion point vulnerable to external influences and reduces the mechanical strength accordingly. The heat shrink sleeve is a polyethylene shrink tube with hot melt on the inner wall and a small steel pipe with a diameter of about 1.5 mm in the middle. After heating, the polyethylene sleeve shrinks and encases the fiber optic connector and the small steel pipe together. This operation not only increases the strength of the fiber optic connector, but also avoids the effect of polyethylene casing shrinkage on the bending and deformation of the fiber optic connector. You can also make the connector have better moisture-proof performance. When heating should be aware: should ensure that the tube of air is all removed, even heating, to avoid the formation of bubbles when heat.
